Director Zack Snyder recently said there will be more of Ben Affleck's Batman in "Dawn of Justice" than Henry Cavill's Superman, despite their shared billing in the title. As he noted, this is a different Batman than the one played by Christian Bale in the Christopher Nolan movies, so he needs a bit of explaining and context. Next year, DC’s Trinity will come together – for better or worse – in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and in anticipation of March’s grand event, Warner Bros. is hosting a big presence for the film at the ongoing New York Comic-Con. 'Incredibles 2' Gets Summer 2019 Release Date

Back in March 2014, Disney announced that The Incredibles 2 is finally moving forward, with The Incredibles writer-director Brad Bird returning to the helm. While there is still much we don't know about the animated movie sequel, the studio announced today that The Incredibles 2 will hit theaters on June 21, 2019. As of now, no other movies have been slated for release on that day, but it comes just one week after Warner Bros.' Justice League Part 2 opens on June 14, 2019.

Writer-director Brad Bird revealed last month that the Incredibles 2 script is almost done. It isn't known yet if the filmmaker has finished his work on the script, or when we might get the first story details. He did tease in April that his sequel will examine superhero movie trends, which is fitting since his sequel will open between DC's Justice League Part 2 and Marvel's Inhumans (July 12, 2019).

David Gordon Green’s listless character study Manglehorn, starring a pleasantly unassuming Al Pacino arrives on Blu-ray shortly before his next (and unfortunately unpleasant) feature Our Brand is Crisis hits theaters. Premiering in competition at the 2014 Venice Film Festival, Pacino’s demure performance was the title’s championed aspect in an underwhelming follow-up to the Green’s superb duo of 2013 titles, Joe and Prince Avalanche. Unfortunately, the IFC acquisition performed as underwhelmingly at the box office as it did with a lot of critics. Although Green has systematically been injecting incredibly prolific actors into indie-inspired projects, the results often seem compromised in comparison to earlier titles in his filmography.

Green continues his examination of masculine relationships in an adaptation from first time screenwriter Paul Logan. Another Texas set endeavor, Green’s use of a forlorn and raggedly unhappy Al Pacino is definitely the film’s greatest asset, but isn’t »

Not with a trailer, nor with a press release – but something more subversive, blurring the lines between fiction and reality: a profile piece of Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) on respected business website Fortune Magazine (the people responsible for the Fortune 500 list).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice classified PG-13 for violence and “sensuality”

It was expected that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would get a PG-13 rating (the equivalent of a 12A here in the UK), but the reason for it is rather surprising.

According to the MPAA, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been awarded a PG-13 rating for, “intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality.” Sensuality, eh? Wonder where that might come from…

So, we can expect the movie to get a 12A here in the UK from the BBFC.

The official PG-13 rating for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is in. The explanation for it is an eyebrow-raiser...

Well, we didn't quite see part of this story coming. Whilst it was a given that Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice - the film that's the springboard for the DC movie universe - would get a PG-13 rating in the Us, the explanation as to why is slightly unexpected.

The film has now been rated in the Us, and that PG-13 confirmed. But according to the MPAA, it's got that rating for "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality".

That Batman and Superman bromance might be a little more intense than we thought. It reminds us of the moment when Paddington was classified PG in the UK, with the original guidance noting "mild sex references". In that instance, it was in reference to »

With just under six months left until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), via Box Office Mojo, has issued a PG-13 rating for the highly-anticipated superhero movie. Almost all superhero projects are crafted for PG-13, so the rating itself isn't surprising. There is a bit of a surprise, though, in the rationale for this rating, with the MPAA revealing the movie features, "intense sequences of violence and action throughout, and some sensuality." Does this mean there is romance in the cards for some of these DC Comics characters?

"Some sensuality" is quite broad, of course, and that could be anything from kissing to dancing to actual sex scenes in the bedroom. Henry Cavill's Clark Kent and Amy Adams' Lois Lane will presumably still be a romantic couple in Batman v Superman, but it's possible that some of this "sensuality »

About a month ago, Michael Shannon said in an interview about returning to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that his character of Zod would have “flipper hands”. While it seemed like a bizarre story, he later admitted that it wasn’t true. Now it would seem we can’t believe anything he has said.

“Flippers? I think that might be a prime example of my scatological humor,” he told ScreenRant. “People ask me a lot about Batman v Superman and I really don’t have anything to say about it, so sometimes I just make up stuff, which I’m sure Warner Bros. is really happy about.”

Director Zack Snyder also went on record to say that the majority of rumours spread about the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are way off base. So perhaps we won’t know anything concrete until we actually see the film.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any promotional material for Warner Bros.’ big DC superhero epic Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but if Heroic Hollywood is to be believed, we’ll be getting Two new teaser trailers next month, followed by a full theatrical trailer in November.

According to the site, a minute-long Superman teaser will be shown on October 26th during the premiere of Supergirl on CBS, while Fox will show a minute-long Batman teaser that very same night during Gotham. A further theatrical trailer will then reportedly be attached to the Rocky spinoff Creed.

Certainly sounds plausible, but as with all Heroic Hollywood “scoops”, take it with a pinch of salt…

'Aquaman' May Get a More Traditional Costume

By this point, we've all seen the Jason Momoa photo from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which reveals his Aquaman costume. And it's not necessarily true to the DC Comic Books upon which it is based. And it all but abandons the early incarnation of the underwater suit. There isn't much orange or green to be seen on Jason Momoa, but the actor hints that may change soon. Talking with self-proclaimed crazy cat lady Martha Boyd for The Robot Voice, Jason Momoa had this to say when asked if fans would be seeing a more traditional costume.

"Well, there might be some bit of orange and green. A bit of respect to prior work, but I think he is meaner now and upset - look at what has been done to our oceans. That's his world that has been polluted."

Over the past few weeks we’ve heard a lot of speculation about Man of Steel 2, with some sites reporting that the follow-up to Zack Snyder’s 2013 Superman movie is on indefinite hold, and others claiming to have the inside track on the film’s potential director and supporting characters.

Batman v Superman: 9 things we learned at Comic-Con

You've seen the spine-tingling new trailer. You've heard the buzz emerging from today's Hall H panel at Comic-Con. 

Now you can catch up on all the essential tidbits from Warner Bros' presentation of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, which featured Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.

1. Remember the controversy around Man of Steel's collateral damage? Dawn of Justice turns that on its head in a very shrewd way – it turns out that Bruce Wayne was in Metropolis at the end of MoS, and the destruction he witnessed is what inspires him to turn against Superman here. 

2. They say the pen is mightier than the sword, and at least initially Superman will fight back against Batman in print rather than person. Clark will use his new position at the Daily Planet to put a negative media spin on the Batman and his vigilante tactics. 

3. Lex Luthor? Has hair. Surely the most controversial revelation yet. Luthor obtained General Zod's corpse after the climax of Man of Steel, and also got his hands on a little kryptonite into the bargain.

4. Although Luthor's plans remain fairly mysterious from the footage we've seen, it's clear that he has some influence over the US government, embodied by Holly Hunter's unnamed senator. Eisenberg's performance looks heavy on snark and not a million miles from his Mark Zuckerberg, which is just fine by us. 

5. Snyder is playing fast and loose with canonical geography here: he confirmed that Gotham and Metropolis are sister cities, comparable to San Francisco and Oakland in real life, which makes Bruce Wayne's proximity to the fallout more plausible. 

6. There's also a very pronounced economic divide between the two cities: Metropolis is the San Francisco in this equation, the city of choice for the successful and powerful, whereas Gotham is portrayed as a city populated by the needy and downtrodden. 7. Gadot described her version of Wonder Woman as "loving, sophisticated, with a lot of emotional intelligence… I've been given a huge opportunity to show this strong, beautiful side of women." Though she has the strength of a superhero, perhaps her greatest weapon is her emotional insight and resilience. 

8. Snyder sold Affleck on playing Batman by pitching him as a burnout: "He's at the end of his rope, he's older…" and therefore perfect for him, Affleck revealed with a self-deprecating laugh. 

9. The film will acknowledge the clear fact that Superman can easily destroy Batman in a one-on-one fight – Batman's mech suit is less about enhancing his powers than it is about self-defence. "It's a self-preservation concept, it's not really enhancing his strength so much as it's just buying him time."

Holly Hunter, a Georgia native, has distinguished herself as an actress on the stage, in Hollywood, and on television by choosing many roles that require her to play intelligent and often unconventional women.

While many of her most memorable characters have been southern, Hunter has successfully portrayed women of various backgrounds and circumstances, demonstrating an impressive dramatic and comedic range over the course of her career.

Born to Opal Marguerite and Charles Edwin Hunter on March 20, 1958, in Conyers, Hunter was brought up on a farm and is the youngest of seven children. Her parents encouraged her acting abilities from a young age, and in the fifth grade she landed her first starring role as Helen Keller in a school play. Hunter continued to explore her interest in acting at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated in 1980 with a degree in drama.

Hunter married cinematographer Janus Kaminiski in 1995; the couple divorced six years later. In January 2006 Hunter and her partner, British actor Gordon MacDonald, announced the birth of twins.

Stage Career

Although best known to the public as a film actor, Hunter began her career on the stage and continues to appear in theater productions. In 1981 she moved to New York and that same year made her off-Broadway debut in a play called Battery. In 1982, after a chance meeting with Mississippi playwright Beth Henley, Hunter replaced actress Mary Beth Hurt in Henley's Pulitzer Prize–winning play Crimes of the Heart. This performance marked not only Hunter's Broadway debut but also the beginning of her lasting collaboration with the southern playwright. Hunter has since performed in several of Henley's subsequent productions, including a second Broadway play, The Wake of Jamey Foster; the off-Broadway Miss Firecracker Contest; the Los Angeles, California, production of Control Freaks; and the off-Broadway Impossible Marriage, which is set in Savannah. Speaking in a 1998 interview about Hunter's consistently successful interpretations of her work, Henley observed that the actress "knows how to walk the line between truth and humor. Holly hears the music of what I write."

Among Hunter's other notable stage credits are a 1987 production of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mindin Los Angeles and the Broadway production The Play What I Wrote, directed by Kenneth Branagh, in 2003. In 2004 she made her debut on the West End stage of London, England, starring in Marina Carr's By the Bog of Cats. In 1996 Hunter cofounded the Loretta Theatre, a theater company based in Santa Monica, California.

Film and Television Career

Hunter made her onscreen debut in the 1981 horror movie The Burning. After moving to Los Angeles in 1982, she did a variety of film and television work, including a small role in the 1984 movie Swing Shift, starring Goldie Hawn. Her first collaboration with brothers Ethan and Joel Coen, the acclaimed writing and directing team, also came in 1984, when she "appeared" as a voice on an answering-machine recording in their first movie, Blood Simple.

Hunter was soon cast by the Coen brothers in her first major film role, the part of "Ed" in their 1987 comedy Raising Arizona. That same year she received an Academy Award nomination for her performance as a journalist in the satirical film Broadcast News. Hunter garnered critical praise for both of these comic roles. In 1989 she reprised her role as Carnelle in the film adaptation of Henley's Miss Firecracker and starred opposite Richard Dreyfuss in Steven Spielberg's romantic drama Always.

In 1993 Hunter found herself nominated for two Academy Awards. Her performance in The Firm, as a secretary in Memphis, Tennessee, earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. But it was for her portrayal of Ada,

a mute nineteenth-century pianist in Jane Campion's film The Piano, that Hunter received the Oscar. She was named Best Actress for her performance, during which Hunter, herself an accomplished musician, played music written specifically to her strengths by Michael Nyman, the film's composer.

Hunter had also won two Emmys by 1993—one for her performance as Jane Roe in the television movie Roe vs. Wade in 1989, and the other for her work in the 1993 television movie The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleading-Murdering Mom, in which she played the ruthlessly ambitious Wanda. Hunter's involvement in theRoe v. Wade project reflects two of her longtime commitments: choosing roles that challenge the typical Hollywood portrayal of women and promoting women's causes in the political arena. She has been involved with the Save Title IX campaign, serving as an honorary chair. Title IX is a federal mandate that ensures equal access to athletic opportunities for girls and women in public schools and colleges.

Hunter's film career has continued to include roles across a wide array of film genres. In 1995 she starred both in Home for the Holidays, a comedy directed by actress Jodie Foster, and in Copycat, a detective thriller in which Hunter plays a role originally written for a man. In 1996 she again demonstrated her versatility, working with director David Cronenberg in his controversial thriller Crash, and critics praised her 1998 portrayal of a recently divorced New Yorker in Living Out Loud. In 2000 Hunter collaborated once again with the Coen brothers, playing an estranged wife in their critically and commercially successful film O Brother Where Art Thou?, and she both executive produced and starred as the mother of a teenage daughter in the 2003 film Thirteen, for which she received an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actress. In 2004 Hunter provided the voice for the character Elastigirl in the popular animated film The Incredibles, and the following year she starred in the dark comedy The Big White, opposite Robin Williams.

Saving Grace, a well-received television series helmed by Hunter, premiered in 2007 on the cable network TNT, part of the Turner Broadcasting System. Hunter portrays homicide detective Grace Hanadarko, who receives guidance in her troubled personal life from an angel named Earl. The series also features Georgia native Scott Wilson as the Reverend Potter.
